I've walked most of the Margalla trails more times than I could count at this point, so this is less a discovery report and more a note on doing Trail 3 and Trail 5 on consecutive mornings, which I hadn't tried before. Saturday was Trail 3 — the busiest of the Margalla trails, and it was exactly as busy as expected on a cool November morning, with families, groups, and the usual regulars all out at once. It's a good trail precisely because of that: well marked, well used, and forgiving if you're not at your fittest. I treated it as the easier warm-up day. Sunday was Trail 5, longer and noticeably steeper, with far fewer people on it. The climb is more sustained and the shade is patchier, which in November wasn't an issue but I imagine changes the experience considerably in summer. The view from the top is wider than Trail 3's, looking out further across the city and the plain beyond it. Doing both on consecutive days worked well as a way to feel the difference between them directly rather than relying on other people's descriptions. If someone's trying to decide which to do, my answer is usually both — Trail 3 first to see if the pace suits you, Trail 5 once you know it does.
