Hanna Lake is where Quetta goes for an afternoon: a reservoir held in dry hills a short drive from the city, with a shoreline path, boats on the water when levels allow, and the Urak valley continuing beyond it. Water level is the thing to know about — the lake depends on seasonal inflow and has been severely low in drought years, sometimes nearly dry, so what a visitor finds varies a great deal by year and season rather than being a constant.
