Dense pine forest along the Ushu Valley road between Kalam and Mahodand Lake.
Anything we haven't confirmed is labelled clearly rather than guessed at.
Ushu is less a destination than a stretch of road worth slowing down for: dense, tall conifer forest running along the valley between Kalam and Mahodand, with the river close by for much of it. It is one of the better-preserved forests in the Swat valley and the reason the drive up to Mahodand takes longer than the distance suggests — people stop. Because it sits on the way to a more famous lake, it is usually experienced as a stop rather than a stay.
