About Malam Jabba
The resort is reached by a side road climbing off the main Swat valley, and it works in two seasons rather than one. In winter it is the country's best-known ski destination, with lift-served runs and equipment hire. Out of snow season the same ridge becomes a straightforward summer hill station — forest walks, long views over the valley, and the chairlift running for the view rather than the descent. The original resort was destroyed during the militancy of the late 2000s and later rebuilt, so most of what is there now is relatively recent.
One of the few places in Pakistan where lift-served winter sport is a normal expectation rather than an expedition.
